  • TBD

Trail: Kennedy Meadows to Kennedy Lake

Where: Emigrant Wilderness within the Stanislaus National Forest

The hike begins at the trailhead at Kennedy Meadows Pack Station:

42421 CA-108, Pinecrest, CA 95364

See more detailed instructions below if you would like to see written ones

When: Meet between 9:30-10am at the backpacking overflow parking lot (look for the Sierra Summit Expeditions Flag!). You can ask where this is at the store if you can’t find it! We’ll also get on a group chat ahead of the trip to flesh out last minute specifics!

Other Pertinent Info:

  • There is no service at the trailhead. If you get lost, you can go back down (west) on Highway 108 to Summit Ranger Station and as for directions. However, there is a store and office at Kennedy Meadows Pack Station and Resort. They are very helpful.

  • You can download this information page in the link below.

  • It takes around 3 hours to get to the trailhead from Sacramento and about 3.5 hours from San Francisco. There is lodging in Pinecrest or Sonora if you’d like to split the drive up.
